About Relay Sentry
Relay Sentry is a Shopify app for selling on the Fruugo marketplace. It's made by Dotarus LLC, a full-stack development and SEO company in Tulsa, Oklahoma, founded by Thao Yang.
01Why it exists
Shopify merchants selling on Fruugo were mostly left with connectors built for many marketplaces at once, with Fruugo's own rules fitted on afterwards. Those rules are exacting. A product needs a category that matches Fruugo's list exactly, its IDs have to stay the same for the life of the listing, and every new order has to be confirmed or cancelled within one business day. A connector that treats those as ordinary shop fields ends up with rejected products and orders that sit unconfirmed.
Relay Sentry was built the other way round: from Fruugo's documentation first, as a multi-store app from the start, and with a way to move from another Fruugo app without relisting every product or importing orders twice.
02How we build it
Built to Fruugo's own rules
Relay Sentry follows Fruugo's retailer documentation rather than treating Fruugo as one more generic marketplace, and our articles link to the Fruugo page behind each rule they state.
It tells you why
A stuck order says what went wrong and what to do about it, and every product that isn't live on Fruugo shows one reason, such as a missing category or an invalid barcode.
It doesn't guess on your behalf
An order only moves forward when Fruugo confirms it did, never on the strength of a request being sent. Where Fruugo keeps a number to itself, like your performance level, the app labels its figure an estimate.
Your customers' details aren't stored
Names and addresses from a Fruugo order are used to create the Shopify order and nothing else. Relay Sentry's own database has nowhere to keep them. Your Fruugo password is encrypted before it's saved.
