Switching Fruugo apps without starting over
Plenty of sellers stay on a Fruugo app they've outgrown because switching sounds worse: every listing duplicated, every category rule redone, and orders imported twice while both apps run.
The short answer. Fruugo knows each listing by the product and SKU IDs your current app sent, so a new app that sends its own IDs creates duplicates. Relay Sentry reads your current app's feed, keeps the IDs Fruugo already has so your listings carry on selling, copies the settings it can measure, and uses an order cutover date so no order imports twice.

Fruugo identifies every listing by the product and SKU IDs your connector sent. A new app that sends its own IDs creates a second copy of every product rather than updating the one that's selling, and the old copies stay listed until each one is marked NOTAVAILABLE, Fruugo's way of retiring a listing.
Your old app also holds months of setup: which Fruugo category each product type goes in, your price margin, lead time and safety stock. Re-entering it all by hand is slow and easy to get wrong.
And while both apps are connected, any Fruugo order could be picked up twice.

- Duplicate listings compete with each other, and every old copy has to be marked unavailable before it stops selling.
- Redoing category mapping for a large catalogue can take days, with products offline until it's done.
- An order imported twice means a double shipment or a confused customer.
03How Relay Sentry fixes it
Keeps Fruugo's existing IDs
Upload your current app's feed file or paste its feed URL. Relay Sentry matches each row to a Shopify variant (by SKU, variant ID or barcode) and adopts the IDs Fruugo already has, so it updates your live listings instead of creating new ones.
Refuses a guess
If two rows could match the same variant, neither is adopted automatically, because binding a live listing to the wrong product is worse than leaving it for you to match by hand. Unmatched rows are listed so you can map them one at a time.
Copies the settings it can measure
From what your old app actually sent, Relay Sentry works out category rules, currency, VAT rate, lead time, safety stock and a store-wide price margin, and shows each beside your current value. A setting is only offered when the feed agrees on it; nothing is saved until you tick it and click copy.
An order cutover date
Set the date from which Relay Sentry imports orders. Anything before it stays with your old app, so no order is created twice.
04Where you'll find it in the app
- Install Relay Sentry and connect your Fruugo account. Keep your old app installed for now.
- Open Settings → Migration and upload or link the feed your old app sends to Fruugo.
- Review the matches and click to adopt them, then review and copy the settings you want.
- Set the order cutover date. Keep your old app's shipment sync on until its last orders have shipped, then remove it.
